The Bible describes love as a commitment to care for and serve others, and as the greatest commandment. The Bible teaches that love is not just a feeling, but a way of relating to others.

State of mind

Hope is an optimistic outlook that's based on the expectation of positive outcomes. As a verb, it means to "expect with confidence" or "to cherish a desire with anticipation".

Isaiah 40:31 - But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

God wants you to experience this life and freedom through Jesus. Will you return from your worldly drifting and enter His presence?

Scripture says without reason that he jealously longs for the spirit he has caused to dwell in us^[b]? ⁶ But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:

“God opposes the proud
    but shows favor to the humble.”^[c]

This passage in Romans 7:15-20 gives us the first-hand account of the battle between the new nature and the sinful flesh within the apostle Paul. He writes these verses as a mature believer in Christ. Paul's own life demonstrates that this struggle with our sinful flesh never goes away while we are on the earth
