“Seek, Find, Search”
“Seek, Find, Search”
Very few people hear the authentic voice of God.
In today’s children’s message, we listened to several sounds. Some sounds are easily recognizable, especially those we hear daily (a coffee maker). Other sounds are hard to recognize because we don’t deal with them daily.
Similarly, with God's voice, unless we regularly seek Him out, talk to Him, and pray, we will likely miss His “voice.”
He most often talks to us through the Holy Spirit, our inner voice that tells us God’s intentions.
Whether in prayer or meditation, we need to remove distractions. We must learn to talk to God regularly and ask him for direction to train our minds to hear Him.
Timothy 2:3-6 provides strong evidence that God desires all people to be saved. The passage states that God "wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth" and that Jesus "gave himself as a ransom for all". This highlights God's universal desire for salvation and the means by which it is offered to everyone through Christ.
Here's a breakdown of the key points from the verses:
God's will is for all to be saved:1 Timothy 2:4 explicitly states that God desires "all people to be saved".
Knowledge of the truth is essential:The verse also emphasizes that God wants people to come to the "knowledge of the truth," which is a necessary component for salvation.
Jesus is the mediator for all:1 Timothy 2:5 highlights Jesus as the sole mediator between God and humanity, and importantly, he "gave himself as a ransom for all". This signifies that the means of salvation is available to everyone.
God's timing is perfect:The phrase "This has now been witnessed to at the proper time" in verse 6 indicates that God's plan for salvation is both comprehensive and timely, with the sacrifice of Jesus being the ultimate demonstration of his love and provision for all.
